About

Welcome to the official website for the Eleventh Annual Intermountain West Student Philosophy Conference.

The IWSPC has become an annual tradition at the University of Utah. The conference is completely designed and executed under the direction of our program’s graduate students and furnishes a venue for presentations of exceptional philosophical projects by graduate and undergraduate students from across the United States.

This conference aims to promote high quality philosophical discourse among students and expose participants and attendees to inspiring exchanges of knowledge. To this end, we also include a plenary talk, given by one of the University of Utah’s own faculty, as well as a keynote speech given by a distinguished professor in a particular area of philosophy. This allows students a number of opportunities for academic, professional, and personal development.

We are thankful for the generous support of the University of Utah School of Humanities, the University of Utah Graduate School, The Tanner Center for the Humanities, and the University of Utah Department of Philosophy.
